1. ABOUT THE PUBLICATIONS

For publication in Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito, scholarly articles will be evaluated through a double-anonymized review system, in which two CONSINTER Referees shall evaluate the manuscripts without knowing the authors’ identities. The evaluated and approved texts, for publication in Europe by Editorial Juruá Lda., and in Brazil by Juruá Editora Ltda., shall be subject to the following criteria:

FOR THE JOURNAL “REVISTA INTERNACIONAL CONSINTER DE DIREITO”

By the requirements of national and international research and teaching agencies and institutions, which evaluate the academic and research output of Graduate Courses, CONSINTER Executive Coordination, in its best judgment, shall select the number of approved articles that will be awarded publication at Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito, with an ISSN assigned in Portugal. More:

a) Each article selected for Revista Internacional do CONSINTER de Direito – Qualis A3 shall be assigned a specific and unique registration number in the DOI System (Digital Object Identifier).

b) A DOI (Digital Object Identifier) shall also be assigned to Revista Internacional do CONSINTER de Direito – Qualis A3.

c) All articles published in Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito – Qualis A3 are available free of charge on the Revista CONSINTER’s website https://revistaconsinter.com/edicoes-anteriores/.

d) Only articles co-authored by a maximum of 3 (three) authors shall be published in Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito.

e) Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito – Qualis A3 is indexed in national and international databases such as: Google Scholar, Scielo Portugal, EBSCO, Latindex, Dialnet, CAPES, Sumarios.org, Cite Factor, Tribunal Superior Eleitoral, Rede Virtual de Bibliotecas Integradas (RVBI), MIAR, member of ABEC, and Crossref.

f) CONSINTER uses the Open Journal Systems Platform – OJS for article submission, which aims to streamline the editorial management process, a tool that assists the editorial process of receiving articles, communicating with authors, and automating peer and anonymous review, giving greater credibility to CONSINTER’s official works within the scientific community.

Given the technical standards for the journal qualification, only approved articles in which at least one of the authors and/or authors holds a Doctorate title can be selected for the Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito – Qualis A3.

The Organizing Committee shall decide on the indication and number of the Journal in which the approved article shall be published, as well as the submission requirements, observing the exogeny of the authors.

The indication considers numerous factors, including the chronological order of receipt and the return dates after corrections have been made when requested, among other criteria.

The publication date of the article is not linked to the call notice’s date, nor to the event’s, and may be published after those.

Download article template

a) Articles must be submitted via upload on the OJS Platform https://revistaconsinter.com/index.php/ojs/about/submission, following the naming pattern indicated below for the article file.

For example: IDENT ART[1] – Author[2] – submission date[3] – article title[4].

Template: IDENT ART – Maria Silva – 20-01-2024 – Tax Aspects…

ART WITHOUT IDENT – submission date – article title

Template[5]: IDENT ART – 01-20-2024 – Tax Aspects…

b )The article must follow the Technical Standards of the European Union Institutional Writing Code (Umberto Eco/EU Standard) – see item 6.

This system is similar to the ABNT standards; however, it is easier to use (all separators are commas) and is highlighted only in italics, never in bold.

Note: The article must be submitted with the spelling and grammar corrected.

c ) Be unpublished (not published in books, specialized journals, or the press in general) and present technical-legal propriety, national and international relevances of the topic addressed, writing fluency, grammatical correctness, and respect for ethical and scientific aspects.

Note: Texts inserted in documents of restricted circulation at universities shall be considered unpublished.

d) The article must have been produced by Lato Sensu and/or Stricto Sensu Graduate Students and/or Professors or Master’s, PhDs, and Post-Doctoral Students.

e) Shall be accepted co-authored papers with a maximum of 3 (three) duly registered participants, and it is mandatory to indicate the percentage contribution of each article’s author.

f) The article must be classified according to one of the criteria stated in the call.

g) Authors who submit the same scientific article (with the same title and content or just changing the title) for more than one of the law areas listed above shall have both scientific articles automatically eliminated from the evaluation.

h) Author identification and affiliation: It must appear just below the title, in this order: Name, ORCID, in the format of the example below:

Luiz Antônio[6] – HTTPS://ORCID.ORG/0000-0002-0000-0000[7].

i) The author’s qualifications and affiliation[8] must mandatorily be included in a footnote on the first page of the article, followed by a statement indicating whether or not Generative Artificial Intelligence[9] was used to enhance the text[10]:

  • no more than 04 lines;
  • the current degree, or the academic background of the authors at the last levels;
  • the name of the Higher Education Institution (Faculty + University, if applicable) to which they are affiliated; the city, state, country, and ZIP Code of that Institution;
  • the email address of the author(s);
  • the ORCID number (if they don’t have it, ask for it at https://orcid.org/signin).

For example: Doctoral Student/PhD/Post-Doctorate in Law XXXX by Faculty of Law XXXX, University XXXXX, city, country, Zip Code 1649-014, email xxxxxx@xxxx.com.br, HTTPS://ORCID.ORG/0000-0002-0000-0000.

Declaration Template:

I declare[11], for all intents and purposes, that during the preparation of this article, I used the artificial intelligence tool [TOOL NAME AND VERSION, e.g.: ChatGPT], specifically in the sections [INDICATE THE SECTIONS], intending to improve clarity, cohesion, and linguistic quality of the manuscript. All the content generated by this technology has been carefully reviewed and edited by me, and I take full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the information presented.

j) Authors are required to mandatorily disclose, via a footnote on the first page of the article (title or abstract), whether they used generative artificial intelligence tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or equivalents) in the preparation or refinement of the manuscript.

If they have not used it: Indicate the following literal statement:

This article has not been prepared or improved using generative artificial intelligence.”

If they have used it: It is compulsory to specify the tool name, version (where applicable), and the use scope, even if restricted to specific sections, indicating them through the following formal statement in the footnote:

I declare, for all intents and purposes, that during the preparation of this article, I used the artificial intelligence tool [NAME OF TOOL AND VERSION, e.g.: ChatGPT], specifically in the sections [INDICATE THE SECTIONS], to improve clarity, cohesion, and linguistic quality of the manuscript. All the content generated by this technology has been carefully reviewed and edited by me, and I take full responsibility for the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the information presented.

k) For the file without identification, the author must ensure that the article content to be evaluated does not contain any information that allows the author’s identification or the Institute to which they are directly or indirectly linked.

l) Articles written completely in English shall be given priority for analysis and publication, subject to at least one of the authors holding a PhD

NOTE: The articles can be submitted in any of the following languages: Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, or English. However, given the impact factor’s relevance, we recommend including an English version to increase the author(s) ‘ academic visibility.

m) The article must be written in Word (latest version) in two separate files: one identified and one without identification, both complete, containing a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 25 pages, and must be numbered. For each heading and subheading – all aligned to the left – there should be a corresponding text.

n) The text must have the following characteristics: Times New Roman font; size 12; justified alignment, without hyphenation; 1.5 line spacing; 1.5 cm paragraph spacing; no special spacing before or after each paragraph; 3 cm top and left margins, 2 cm bottom and right margins; on A4 paper; explanatory footnotes on the same page as the reference, with References following the Technical Standards of the European Union Institutional Writing Code (Umberto Eco/EU Standard) – see item 17.

o) The text must contain:

a) Title in two languages, one of which must be mandatory in English;

b) Summary in two languages, one in your native language and one in English, to be written after the title presentation;

c) The abstract (between 100 and 250 words) must be mandatory in two languages: one in your native language and one in English.;

d) Keywords (between 3 and 10 words), which must be mandatory written in two languages, one in your native language and one in English.

For example:

If written in Portuguese, the Abstract and Keywords must be written in Portuguese and English.

If written in Spanish, the Abstract and Keywords must be in both Spanish and English.

If written in English, the Abstract and Keywords must be written in English and Portuguese.

p) The author must indicate both in the ABSTRACT and in the INTRODUCTION:

  • Objectives – this is a brief description of what the study is about and what it was carried out for;
  • Hypothesis – Quite bluntly, the hypothesis in academic work is a statement that seeks to answer the research problem. In other words, it’s a statement that can be challenged during the research;
  • Methodology used – a description of how the study was carried out, especially its most important characteristics (e.g., quantitative, qualitative, or multi-method study; description of study participants, instruments, etc.) and data collection and analysis procedures;
  • Method used – The research method is a structured set of techniques, procedures, and instruments used to collect, analyze, and interpret data to answer a specific question or problem. It varies depending on the approach (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed) and must be appropriate to the research objectives. The methods guarantee the validity and reliability of the results. Examples include interviews, questionnaires, and experiments;
  • Results achieved – consists of a description of the main findings of the study, specifically those that respond to the study objective;
  • Final remarks: a description of the study’s main contributions and indications for future studies.

q) The article should be written clearly and objectively, avoiding long-winded paragraphs and prioritizing sentences in the direct order: subject-predicate-complement.

r) Texts with figures, illustrations, and/or photographs shall not be accepted, except for graphs and tables that are essential for understanding the work and compatible with black and white printing. The use of graphs and tables is prohibited if they originate from third parties.

NOTE: The printing system for CONSINTER articles is black-and-white (grayscale). So, colored graphics must use a system for differentiating information other than color, such as icons, dashes, or dots.

s) Footnotes and bibliographical references: the same information must appear in both, as they are carefully checked.

NOTE: Citations should always come from safe sources, both physical and virtual (see the accepted template from Umberto Eco’s system in item 16).

No PLAGIARISM or verbatim copying is allowed, under penalty of failure. In the case of the author’s own text, they must correctly indicate the source to rule out self-plagiarism.

t) The text must be accompanied by an authorization term for publication – Assignment of Copyright/Patrimonial Rights – according to the template attached and/or available on the website.

u) All articles must be accompanied by payment proof of the registration/submission of each author and co-author. The receipt can be sent to contato@consinter.org, with the article title in the email subject.

NOTE: To present the article orally during this year’s event, interested parties must pay the additional participation/presentation fee available on the CONSINTER website within sixty (60) days before the event.

v) Noting that CONSINTER is a non-profit organization, the registration/submission fee subsidizes the publication of articles in Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito – QUALIS A3. The submission/registration fee is individual and exclusive to each author. Therefore, each author must register and pay the corresponding fee.

Ex: To submit a co-authored article with two authors, it is necessary to register and pay the submission fee for each of them.

w) An author can insert as many articles as they wish on the OJS platform; however, they must pay the registration/submission fee for each article submitted. Payment must be made by the author for each article submitted.

x) CONSINTER does not reimburse payments made, even when articles have not been approved by CONSINTER’s Editorial Board and/or Board of Referees.

y) Given the technical standards for the journal qualification, only approved articles in which at least one of the authors and/or authors holds a Doctorate title can be selected for the Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito – QUALIS A3. Duly approved articles that do not meet this requirement will be published in the CONSINTER Direito e Justiça book.

NOTE: The indication considers numerous factors, from the chronological order of the receipt to the return dates after corrections have been made when requested, among other criteria.

The publication date of the article is not linked to the call notice’s date, nor to the event’s date, and may be published after those.

z) In compliance with the qualification standards, only one article by each author may be released for publication in the Revista Internacional CONSINTER de Direito – QUALIS A3. If two or more articles by the same author are approved for the Journal, the evaluation committee will, in its best judgment, select one for publication in the Journal. The others will be directed for publication in the Direito e Justiça book or for publication in upcoming issues of the Journal.

→ Articles that do not meet the following standards shall be disqualified

[1] IDENT ART – abbreviation for identified article.

[2] Author – name of the author of the article, stating the first name when there is only one author and, or first and last name when it is a co-authored article.

[3] Submission date – upload date information of the article.

[4] Article title – indication of the article title.

[5] Model on how to name the article’s word file without identifying the author.

[7] The ORCID number must be indicated in full, for example: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0000-0000.

[8] In a footnote, the names of the authors should be listed in descending order of degree (when there is more than one), followed by the higher education institution(s) to which they are linked – as a student, professor or both – as well as the city, state and country of each institution.

[9] It is critical that the author clearly and unequivocally informs MANDATORILY the possible use of generative artificial intelligence tools during the text preparation.

[10] Generative artificial intelligence resources should be limited to improving the clarity, cohesion and linguistic quality of the manuscript. The final responsibility for the content lies exclusively with the authors, since such tools cannot be recognized as authors or co-authors – attributions that require skills and responsibilities inherent to human beings.

[11] Even if they have not used such resources, the author must expressly state that they have not used Generative Artificial Intelligence tools.

7.ABOUT THE ARTICLE REVIEW

Scientific articles shall be reviewed by the CONSINTER Board of Referees, composed exclusively of renowned legal scholars, of both national and international standing, holding doctoral and post-doctoral degrees, who have been specially invited. Scientific articles will be evaluated by a double-anonymized review system, in which two CONSINTER Referees will evaluate the works without any authorship identification.

The unnamed appraisal of scientific articles ensures impartial judgment and reduces subjectivity and ideological bias. Thus, the author should avoid direct references to themselves and quotations that make it possible to extract their authorship from the text.

If the scientific article is accepted by one of CONSINTER’s Referees and disapproved by another, the text may be submitted to a third Referee at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

a) The content of scientific articles is the sole responsibility of the authors and once submitted for evaluation may not be replaced or altered, unless requested by the Board of Referees;

b) Plagiarism or the insertion of verbatim copies, even of the author himself, is not allowed, unless there is a correct citation, which disqualifies plagiarism.

10. COPYRIGHT NOTICE EDIT EDIT COPYRIGHT NOTICE

The scientific article sent for evaluation must be accompanied by a term of authorization for publication – assignment of Copyright/Patrimonial Rights – according to the model attached and/or available on the website, in which the author(s) agree(s) to the following terms:

a) The ideas and concepts expressed in the article submitted are/are the sole responsibility of the author(s), who guarantee and take responsibility for their legality, authorship, and authenticity.

e) Authorization is given free of charge, without payment of copyright by Juruá Editora and/or Editorial Juruá Lda. and/or CONSINTER, aware that there is no remuneration, payment, or indemnity, not even in copies of the book subject to authorization for publication, due to its dissemination or commercialization.

11. STATEMENT ON THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN SCIENTIFIC WRITING

Considering that the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in writing must be declared with complete transparency, the author needs to state whether they have used these resources during the process of writing the text.

The use of generative AI-based writing assistants should be restricted to improving the clarity, cohesion, and linguistic quality of the text. The final responsibility for the content lies exclusively with the authors, since such tools cannot be recognized as authors or co-authors – attributions that require skills and responsibilities inherent to human beings.

This requirement applies only to the drafting phase of the manuscript and does not cover the use of AI for data analysis or for extracting insights during research.

Finally, it is essential to include, via a footnote on the first page of the article, immediately below the curriculum, whether or not generative artificial intelligence tools were used in the preparation or enhancement of the manuscript.

12. PRIVACY STATEMENT EDIT EDIT PRIVACY STATEMENT

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
